Bucks put Point Zion in Negative

Despite their best efforts, the New Orleans Pelicans were no match for the Milwaukee Bucks. With a close game of 129 to 125, the Bucks were simply too much to handle for the Pelicans. After what seemed like an endless losing streak, the Bucks appear back to business and looking to make their mark on the Eastern Conference standings. Both Zion Williamson and Giannis Antetokounmpo scored over 30 points each in this nail-biter of a game. In one of the most entertaining duels in all of basketball, both players made sure to keep their teams in the game until the final buzzer. Despite the Pelicans’ best efforts, the Bucks bench with Donte DiVincenzo sealed the game with a last-second charge call.

The Pelicans seem to be figuring that out how to use “Point Zion.” Which is, the nickname given to Williamson after he started playing more like a point guard on the team. While he is a player that can play multiple positions, it comes into question how the team can rely on him less. The Pelicans seem to be using Zion’s explosiveness and athleticism to the max, which could cost them in the long run. Many professional athletes play beyond what most consider reasonable, but Zion’s longevity has been a question since entering the league along with injury. Since he entered the league, Zion has been so explosive with his quickness and dunks, many cannot fathom it lasting a whole career. Regardless of what Zion’s future holds in New Orleans, it’s safe to say both he and Giannis will always have memorable matchups.
