Point Guard Coby White racked up 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists—an incredible performance as the Chicago Bulls (16-21) finally beat the Charlotte Hornets (8-25) 104-91. The Chicago Bulls came into this game after a 116-100 loss away from home to the Knicks, which was their fourth loss in the team’s last six games. The Hornets came into this matchup with great confidence after a great win away from home against the Sacramento Kings (111-104).

The last time these teams faced each other was this past December 6 at home, where the Bulls beat the Hornets 111-110 in a close, heated contest. The main performer of that matchup was short forward DeMar DeRozan with 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Chicago Bulls made sure to take care of business once again, while the Hornets weren’t able to beat the Bulls once again.

Bulls end losing drought! The Bulls finally have a great first half

After so many disappointing first-half performances, from being demolished in points by the Pacers or the 76ers in 120-104 and 110-97 losses, respectively, or having the lead and tragically losing it, like in the most recent Knicks game, the Bulls finally had a decent performance in the first, which was crucial to the game’s progression and Bull’s continuing dominance in the game, which ultimately led to the team’s win.

The first quarter ended with the Bulls having a narrow lead of 23-22, with DeRozan and center Andre Drummond being the team’s best players at the moment with 4 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 4 points, respectively. The second quarter then ended with the Bulls again narrowly edging the Hornets 24-19 and the first half’s final score ending 47-41. In this quarter, White was the main man for the Bulls, as he put in 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Bulls end losing drought! The Bulls struggled but scored enough baskets to win the game

After a good first half for the Bulls, a narrow lead was going to harm them at some point, and it did in the second half as the Hornets won the 3rd quarter 28-27, but the Bulls overall remained in the lead 74-69, but the Hornets were knocking on the door. This was mainly due to the best man on the court at the moment, short forward Miles Bridges, who was having quite a game with 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. However, his performance wasn’t enough as the Bulls took that low 3rd quarter performance to heart and handled business in the 4th as they won the quarter pretty clearly offensively from the Hornets, 30-22, and won the game 104-91. White finished with that great performance for the Bulls, as mentioned earlier, but he wasn’t the “Star of the Game.”

Star of the Game

The “Star of the Game” was the Hornets Center Miles Bridges. The product from Michigan State Spartans finished the game off with 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Although his team didn’t give enough in the game to get the win, he can be happy his performance was one to catch the eye of the Hornets fans and the city of Charlotte.

What’s Next?

The Bulls will want to capitalize on this great win at home as they will once again face the Hornets, but this time away from home at Spectrum Center on Monday, December 8th, at 7 p.m.

The Hornets will look to bounce back, as they will have the opportunity to face the Bulls again and get the win in front of their fans at the Spectrum Center.
