Double Over-Time is needed for the Bulls to defeat the Cavaliers at home

Shooting Forward DeMar DeRozan and Center Nikola Vucevic were once again the main men for the Bulls in Double Over-Time over the Cavaliers. They racked up 35 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 24 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists respectively. Both Bulls players did enough to give the Chicago (28-31) a dramatic win over the Cleveland Cavaliers (38-20) 132-123 at home at United Center. The Chicago Bulls came into this game with only one win out of four games. With those other three games being losses which included an away loss to the Cavaliers, 108-105. The other three games where a 129-112 loss to the Celtics, a 114-106 win against the Pelicans, and a 105-95 loss vs the Pistons. Cleveland came into this match-up with total confidence beating the Wizards 114-105 and the and the Mavericks 121-119.

The last time these teams were in that recent Wednesday, February 14th loss for the Bulls, 108-105 where Donovan Mitchell was the main scorer pulling up crazy numbers of 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists which contributed tremendously to the Cavaliers win. The Chicago Bulls hoped for a different result this time around, and dramatically their hopes were answered.

First half was tight, Bulls were down by one at Halftime

The first half was a hard-fought one for the Bulls with a lot of questions and a need to respond. They ended the first quarter down by ten points 32-23 with Vucevic being the main man with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. While, Power Forward Evan Mobley was responding for the Cavaliers who currently had the lead contributing with 8 points and 1 rebound. The second quarter then seemed to be a even tighter affair as the quarter ended with the Bulls improving winning the quarter 29-21, but the Cavaliers work in the first quarter had them leading at the end of the half 53-52. For the Bulls, it was again Vucevic putting up the numbers with now 12 points and 10 rebounds, and simarlily for the Cavaliers it was again Mobely with now 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assists

Bulls with an impressive offensive performance that forced

The third quarter proved to be an impressive push for the comeback for the Bulls as even though they were down they still pushed for the lead finishing the quarter now three points behind with the Cavaliers leading 81-78 with now DeRozan leading the way providing 17 points 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in the quarter while for the Cavaliers it was still insanely Mobley leading the line with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist.

However, in the fourth quarter, the Bulls didn’t win but made the Cavaliers feel they have lost as they finally did the inevitable blowing the lead with the Bulls tieing the game 103-103 with the match now heading to over-time. Vucevic once again appeared with a great showing now with 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists while Mobley is doing what he can to keep Cleveland hopes alive now with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 1 assists.

Bulls excel in double-overtime, as the Cavaliers collapse to an inevitable Bulls win

The first overtime once again gave a crazy final with another ending of a tied game with a score of 115-115, with Bulls Vucevic once again proving decisive keeping his team in the game now with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists. The double overtime then saw the collapse of Cleveland as DeRozan provided an explosive performance finishing with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists which gave the Bulls a dramatic win of 131-123 over the Cavaliers.

Star of the Game

The “Star of the Game” was the Bulls Shooting Forward DeMar DeRozan. The product from the USC Trojans who was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 NBA draft; finished the game off with an exceptional 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. DeRozan’s performance was undoubtedly great and ended up being crucial to his team’s success on the court and for the smiles to return back to Chicago.
