Game Recap: Raptors managed to stop Pacers comeback

Despite almost losing their 20-point lead, The Toronto Raptors still managed to pull out a 122-111 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Scottie Barnes was the star tonight, scoring a career-high 35 points. He also finished the game with six rebounds and nine assists.

RJ Barrett also had a great game tonight. He completed the game with 29 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Tyese Haliburton tried his best to get Indiana the win, but his effort wasn’t enough to stop Toronto. His performance ended with 30 points, four rebounds and six assists.

The Raptors started strong in the first quarter. Their momentum continued during the second quarter.

Toronto finished the first half with a 20-point lead. However, Indiana cut that lead in half at the end of the third quarter.

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Pacers would make it a two-point game, but the Raptors began to make another run and lead by 10 points.

After that run, Indiana couldn’t make another run. Toronto secured the win by ending the game with a 17-8 run.

The Pacers are now currently 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 9-13 record while the Raptors are 7-15. They are currently 11th in the East.

This was the last game of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup Group Stage for both teams. Neither team advanced to the Knockout Stage of the NBA Cup.

Both teams can focus on the rest of the season even though both teams have different goals for the year.

The Pacers are looking to make another run in the playoffs while the Raptors are gaining experience and playing time for their young squad.

The next game for Toronto is against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, Dec. 5.

This is the only time that Raptor fans can watch Canadian superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander live in Toronto.
