Cleveland, New York and Brooklyn to end road trip
The preview of the Heat’s next road games is similar to getting into a bar fight night after night (with the whole bar.) The Heat beat Chicago on Monday as if “they stole something.” The Bulls players by the end of the game looked discouraged and listless. Now, the Heat go into the toughest stretch of the road trip. They play three games in four days versus the Cavaliers, Knicks and Nets. This is a time when the Heat have to show an example of “their Culture.”
Heat vs. Cleveland — Wednesday night preview
The Heat go to Cleveland to play and Donovan Mitchell will not play. As per Fox Sports’ Cleveland webpage here, Darius Garland and Caris Levert are day-to-day. Donovan Mitchell is out. Max Strus will be playing his first game against the Heat since leaving in the off-season. He is bringing the “Heat Culture” to the locker room (read that article here.) Cleveland doesn’t have a great defense and the Heat are playing dynamic. Donovan Mitchell didn’t take an extension with Cleveland (read that article from October here) and is good friends with Bam Adebayo. The next time the two teams play, may have Mitchell in another jersey.
Heat @ New York — Friday night preview
The Heat upset the Knicks 4-2 in the East semifinals earlier this year. The Heat shut down Julius Randle and contained Jalen Brunson. All the good feelings that the Knicks had with Spike Lee, Latrell Sprewell and John Starks sitting courtside ended with that loss. No doubt about it that the Knicks will want payback in each game they play the Heat this season. The Heat are weak on rebounding and this article here on our site shows how Mitchell Robinson could factor in Friday’s game. The Knicks fans will be lathered up also to greet Miami. Miami would be on the road by Friday a whole week starting this back to back set. The Knicks will be fresh, having been off since the 20th.
Heat @ Brooklyn — Saturday night preview
Brooklyn has had Miami’s number the last few seasons. Miami beat them last week but it was a battle. Brooklyn will get Miami at home after playing at Atlanta on Wednesday. Brooklyn had won five games before losing to Miami. They beat Miami at the Kaseya Center by 29 in March to take away the Heat’s opportunity for the #6 seed. They beat Miami four out of the five times in Miami. The win in Brooklyn was by 11. Miami will be playing Brooklyn on a second night of a back-to-back where they played a well rested Knicks team.
