I love Erik Spoelstra

I love Erik Spoelstra. Erik Spolestra didn’t lose the game last night. He and the players lost the game. Erik Spoelstra had a brain fart. After 17 years as coach of the Heat and numerous correct choices, he is entitled to have a brain fart. I am not justifying the brain fart. It made a bad situation worse. The Pistons played really good last night. The out of bounds play was really good. Terry Rozier should’ve been covering the backside.

Spolestra in the Post-game press conference

As a fan, I’ve always wanted to hear a coach that talks as Spoelstra does. He owned the mistake. He didn’t spit a “word salad” to distract from his mistake. He didn’t point fingers at other players. He took the blame. I’ve seen him run out onto the court pissed calling time out after the players made terrible plays and/or effort. It doesn’t matter that Cade Cunningham was throwing in bounds. Game analyst John Crotty even pointed out that Rozier should’ve been covering the backside for Bam Adebayo and didn’t.

Tyler Herro‘s night

Look at this article here on Yardbarker about Tyler Herro’s 40 points. My take is here on our site. Tyler Herro is having a great start to the season. But, at the end of the day, he is SUPPOSED to do all of these things. He has a hype train as long as the Florida penninsula since he scored 37 in the bubble on the Celtics. Let’s see if he doesn’t score 15 against the Pacers next game with four turnovers and three assists.

Tyler Herro can’t be separated from the results of the Heat. Many people on twitter who love him scream bloody murder when he plays well claiming, “Where would we be without him.” The NBA unfortunately, is not the Big 3 League or the Chinese Basketball League. Herro is paid to have these games, night in and night out (as a professional basketball player.)
