First things first, let’s give a hearty shout-out to Cam Christie and Trentyn Flowers! Our good ol’ Clippers finally got these two some regular NBA season playing time, and boy did they shine against the Minnesota Timberwolves! (We almost called them the Minnesota Grizzlies. Blame it on the game-day nerves!)
Our Clippers took a couple of hard losses against the Houston Rockets, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? The Rockets portrayed an impressive game with coach Utaka Utuku showcasing a solid offensive and defensive balance. They seemed a bit more hungry for the victory, and got the better end of the referee’s calls. Let’s just say they got the ‘ref boost’.
The key focus for our team needs to be on minimizing turnovers, and boy did we do well on that front – we only had a measly seven! With James Harden, Terance Mann, and Mo Bamba sitting out, our head coach rightly emphasized disrupting their offense and offering ample support to Kris Dunn and Ivica Zubac. Speaking of Zubac, he has been a bit under par recently, following a few performances significantly lesser than his usual dominating ones. A concern for us, no doubt, but we’re hopeful Zu gets back to leading the charge in no time.
The Elevator Moments
So, what have I been up to during my hiatus? Oh boy, brace yourselves for this one because it’s been a wild ride! I’ve been covering Clippers’ games, often starstruck by the sheer proximity to these basketball giants we admire so much!
Imagine my surprise and thrill when I found myself sharing an elevator ride with none other than Derrick Jones Jr! Or that unforgettable time when I shared another elevator ride with Kris Dunn himself, all while wolfing down ice cream, mind you! These quick exchanges, unexpected encounters, and immensely surreal experiences have made my break all the more special.
Being Part of The Press Room
Being part of the press room has been a rollercoaster ride – with a heady mix of apprehension, excitement, and the ever-looming fear of asking a silly question! Enveloped by basketball greats and colleagues I look up to, let’s just say that I swallowed my fear, took the mike and asked the questions I wanted even though I wasn’t cool or composed. And did I mess up my question to Coach Ty Lue? Yes, I did! But failure is the stepping-stone to mastering the art of conquering my fears the next time around.

What’s next for Clippers and Me?
As we gear up for the upcoming games against the Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz, I’ve been lucky enough to be covering the Clippers and enjoying every bit of the thrilling NBA season. Not just as a reporter, but soon, I’ll be donning my fan-girl hat again and cheering our Clippers from the sidelines at the Utah Jazz game!
