Your beloved, and “pissed off” Dallas Mavericks brought it to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, winning 133-103 in the second half of a road back-to-back. Dallas definitely grew tired of me ripping them for being unable to start a game effectively. The Mavs peeled off a 28-0 run to end the first quarter last night. Golden State didn’t score for 9 minutes and 40 seconds during that stretch!

The Mavs responded well to all the criticism on their behalf this week, holding the Warriors to just 29 points in the FIRST HALF. Luka Doncic led the charge with a special 39-point, 8 assist performance, not to mention every player on the Mavs’ roster scored at least 2 points.

Star of the Game

Luka won the superstar battle against Steph last night, as we remember Curry scoring 57 the last time these teams squared off.

After the loss to the Kings, Luka said in the post-game, “Everybody was pissed off because we didn’t play the right way yesterday.” He’s a man of few words when he has to speak English, but this spoke volumes to how this team responded last night in San Francisco. Despite all the crying to the refs, Luka is a winner, and it won’t be long until the Mavs become winners in this league while he is leading them.

Biggest Concern

Consistency. Although it was a great win, it’s still hard to get a grip on this team.

Here’s a head-scratching stat for you:

Dallas is 23-14 against teams over .500

Dallas is 11-13 against teams under .500

Weird.

Surprise Contribution

A fun Boban ejection!

Boban Marjanovic committed a flagrant 2 foul with less than 3 minutes left in the game, in which he slammed Jordan Poole in the head while trying to swat a shot. After the ruling was made on the foul, it took Bobi a couple minutes to figure out he was ejected, forcing the entire Mavs bench to share a laugh.

Is Boban the most likable athlete in all professional sports? He has my vote.
