After losing in game seven against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Toronto Raptors are eliminated from the playoffs, thus ending their 2025-26 NBA season. Toronto lasted seven games against Cleveland, with Immanuel Quickley not playing in the entire series and Brandon Ingram leaving during the second quarter of game five, plus missing games six and seven.

The Raptors started the season 1-4. After the start, Toronto went on to win 13 of the next 14 games. Unfortunately, their season peaked after that stretch because their season went up and down. The Raptors were as high as the second seed, then went all the way down to seventh.
Fortunately, they managed to finish the year clinching the fifth seed with a record of 46-36. Last season, Toronto was 11th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 30-52. Many sports analysts didn’t think the Raptors would be a playoff team this season. But Toronto proved them wrong by being one game away from going to the second round.

How did the Raptors do in the Playoffs?
The Raptors lost the first two games of the series on the road, but once they returned home, Toronto won the next two. Cleveland won game five despite the Raptors leading in the first three quarters.
Toronto won game six in overtime thanks to a game-winning three-point shot that bounced high on the rim and still went in from RJ Barrett. But they couldn’t maintain the momentum when they lost game seven.
Here are some regular-season games that highlight the Raptors’ success this season. Toronto beat the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 28, 2025, 141-127. Scottie Barnes had a triple-double of 23 points, 25 rebounds, and 10 assists.
On Mar. 29, the Raptors destroyed the Orlando Magic 139-87. Toronto had a 31-0 run against Orlando. That is now the NBA record for the longest unanswered scoring run. Barnes also had a career high of 15 assists in the game.
Barnes and Ingram were both named All-Stars this season. This is the first time Toronto has had two players playing at the All-Star game since the 2019-20 season. The last time a Raptor played in the All-Star game was Barnes in the 2023-24 season. Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković was named head coach for Team World.
This 2025-26 NBA season was a success for the Toronto Raptors, but let’s see if they improve their team for next season, because they might not get better if they don’t make roster changes.
