The San Antonio Spurs (16-11) and 6th in the Western Conference) return to the hardwood. They will face the Oklahoma City Thunder (12-19) and 13th in the Western Conference) tonight in Oklahoma City. The Spurs last game was on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. I hope you guys didn’t forget! They played the Charlotte Hornets back then and won 122-110. Coming off of the league mandated Covid quarantine procedures, the Spurs will be shorthanded for their return to the court.

Rudy Gay, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, Derrick White and, Quinndary Weatherspoon are all out. They will have to work their way back from Covid protocol. Also, the team’s leading scorer, DeMar DeRozan will not play tonight. He will be spending time with his family following the death of his father. LaMarcus Aldridge is also an uncertain as he is dealing with hip soreness. The Spurs called up two players from the G league, and with those additions and possibly Aldridge suiting up, they would have only 10 players available.

The Thunder have lost 7 of their last 9 games. The San Antonio Spurs won the first meeting versus the Thunder 112-102, on January 12th.
