Week 20 is the second to last week of the shortened NBA season. Wow! All things considered, this abbreviated season hasn’t been too bad. Yes, there were COVID complications, but there really is no way to avoid that short of another bubble. No one wanted another bubble. Instead, the NBA opted for games in each teams home stadium (with the Tampa Raptors being the only exception) with no to limited attendance. Obviously, they did it for the money, but I like to think they had the well being of fans in mind too. Personally, I am grateful to the NBA and the players for making this season happen. Forgive the sappy commentary, but it’s heartfelt.
In Week 20 two teams went undefeated and two went without a win. The Western Conference leading Utah Jazz went 4-0 and hope to get Donovan Mitchell back in a week. The Dallas Mavericks joined them with a perfect 4-0 week. On the down side were the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets who were 0-4 and 0-3 respectively. The Rockets look to have “won” the 15th seed, while the Jazz are a lock for the #1 seed.

Week 18 – Biggest Droppers
There were 5 total teams that all dropped a single spot this week. The list includes the Los Angeles Clippers., Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans. out done, had two Bad Losses which resulted in their drop in the standings. Of those teams only one failed to a win a game all week, the Los Angeles Clippers went 0-3. They had a pretty solid hold on the #3 spot before this week, but not anymore. Because of their lack of wins and drop in the rankings, they get the special call out this week.
