The Washington Wizards are coming off one of their best wins of the season. On December 18, Washington defeated Utah by the score of 109-103. Bradley Beal led the way for the Wizards, with 37 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. With their win against Utah, Washington ended their four game losing streak. After their win in Utah, Washington was scheduled to play the Brooklyn Nets on December 21. Unfortunately, that game was cancelled due to the Covid-19 concerns the Nets are dealing with.

New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have a record of 14-17. Their most recent game was a home victory against the Detroit Pistons. Julius Randle leads the Knicks in points, rebounds, and assists. After an impressive season last year, the Knicks have struggled to a degree this season. The team has put together a 3-7 record over their previous 10 games.

The 2021-2022 NBA season is the third season in which Covid-19 has had a significant impact. We have seen games postponed due to teams having a number of players entering health and safety protocols. The most recent New York Knick to enter health and safety protocols is Nerlens Noel. Noel is the 7th New York Knicks this season who has entered health and safety protocols.

Dimers Deliberation

I have to disagree with Dimers on their prediction. Only because the Wizards haven’t played in an NBA game since December 18. Having that long of an unexpected break during the season can throw off a teams rhythm to an extent. A team might start their first game back a little out of sorts, and make mistakes they normally don’t make. Those mistakes can come back to hurt a team at the end of the game.
