The Toronto Raptors continue to play poorly during road games. They lost to the Detroit Pistons 123-114, thus making their road record 1-18.

Toronto entered the game on a four-game losing streak. If the Raptors beat the Pistons, they can break that streak.

On the other hand, Detroit is looking to secure a spot in the postseason. They are a better team than last season where they were 14-68.

Before the first time-out, both teams were tied 6-6. Once the timeout was done, the Pistons went on an 11-0 run.

Detroit was leading most of the first half until Toronto made a comeback at the end of the second quarter.

Immanuel Quickley was the key to their comeback scoring 13 points in the second quarter. The Raptors ended the first half leading the game 66-65 against the Pistons.

Pistons’ franchise player Cade Cunningham could’ve ended the second quarter with a Pistons lead but he missed the open dunk.

Detroit would get the lead back during the beginning of the second half. At the end of the third quarter, the Pistons led the game 99-93.

The game ends with Detroit keeping their lead. The Pistons are now 20-19 in the Eastern Conference.

The win keeps them in the eighth seed in the East. They are still in the Play-in spot.

Toronto is 14th in the East with a record of 8-31. The loss against Detroit extends their losing streak to five games.

Cunningham was key for Detroit’s win. He finished the game with a triple-double of 22 points,10 rebounds, and 17 assists.

Quickley’s 25 points, two rebounds, and two assists weren’t enough to get the Raptors the win.

But it’s a personal win for Quickley because he just came from his injury and so far, it isn’t affecting his game.

Toronto’s next game will be at home where the Raptors will play against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
