The Orlando Magic thumped the New York Knicks 107-89 in a terrific game from Terrence Ross. Ross finished with 30 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. He also shot 5-6 from 3 point range and 10-16 from the field.

Overview

Knicks

Julius Randle got off to a hot start for the Knicks and finished with 25 points, but it wasn’t enough for New York. Immanuel Quickley and Derrick Rose were freezing cold, shooting a combined 2-22 from the field. In total, the Knicks shot 37% from the field, and 25% from behind the arc.

“We didn’t have our normal awareness,’’ Knicks HC Tom Thibodeau said. “That’s been one of our strong suits of the team.”

Magic

In addition to Terrence Ross’ 30 points, Nikola Vucevic played well like usual, racking up 16 points and 16 rebounds. Without Cole Anthony, Michael Carter, the 2013-14 Rookie of the Year, got the start. While he only had 6 points in the game, he’s averaging 7.7 PPG 4.7 RPG and 3 APG in 10 games this year.

The Knicks Without Mitchell Robinson

The Knicks lost Mitchell Robinson to a broken hand against the Wizards on Friday. He will remain out for the foreseeable future, and he’ll be reevaluated after the All Star break. The Knicks will definitely miss their great rebounding, efficient, and great defending starting center.
